From the Desk of Pia Copeland, Founder & President

The DS&P Foundation, Inc.

From a young age, I understood the power of compassion, community, and faith. Throughout my life and professional journey in healthcare, leadership, nonprofit service, and women’s empowerment, I have witnessed firsthand how many individuals and families carry silent struggles — and how one act of support, one safe space, one caring voice, or one opportunity can change the entire trajectory of a life.

The DS&P Foundation, Inc. was born from that belief.

I founded this organization with a simple but profound purpose: to strengthen families, uplift communities, and ensure that women and girls have the support, resources, and hope they need to rise in every season of life. Our work is rooted in faith, guided by compassion, and built on the conviction that every person deserves dignity, support, hope, and the opportunity to thrive.

As a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, The DS&P Foundation, Inc. is committed to meeting real needs with real impact. Every program we create, every family we serve, and every initiative we launch reflects our core values of service, integrity, compassion, and legacy. Through wellness support, family assistance, community outreach, educational opportunities, scholarships, and empowerment-centered programs, we seek to help individuals heal, rise, and move forward with strength.

My heart for this Foundation is bigger than any single moment. It is the culmination of a lifetime dedicated to serving others with purpose. As we continue to grow, our commitment remains the same: to be a light in the lives of women, girls, and families who need support, encouragement, and hope the most.

Pia Copeland is the Founder & President of The DS&P Foundation, Inc., where she provides the visionary leadership, strategic direction, and compassionate mission focus that anchor the organization. With more than 30 years of experience across healthcare, organizational development, community service, leadership, and women’s empowerment, Pia brings a meaningful blend of heart, expertise, lived experience, and executive insight to her work.

Grounded in faith, compassion, and purpose, Pia established the Foundation to strengthen families, uplift communities, expand access to meaningful resources, and ensure that women, girls, and families receive the emotional, spiritual, educational, and practical support they need to thrive. She leads the Foundation’s strategic vision, supports governance and board development, guides program planning, and ensures that every initiative reflects the organization’s core values of service, integrity, compassion, accountability, and legacy building.

Pia’s lifelong commitment to service is reflected in the programs she designs, the partnerships she cultivates, and the community-centered impact she continues to build. Through scholarships, wellness initiatives, family support services, outreach programs, and empowerment-centered resources, she is committed to serving individuals and families with dignity, excellence, and intentional care. Her ability to merge lived experience with organizational strategy gives the Foundation a strong, steady, and trusted foundation for meaningful growth.

In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Pia is the Founder & CEO of Diamond, Sapphire & Pearl Ladies LLC™, publicly known as DS&P Ladies™ | The House of Gemz™ — a transformational women’s community dedicated to sisterhood, faith, resilience, personal growth, curated experiences, and purpose-centered leadership. What began as heartfelt conversations among women has evolved into a powerful movement inspiring women to reclaim their voices, honor their stories, walk boldly in purpose, and shine in every season of life.

Known for her authenticity, resilience, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to elevating others, Pia leads with both compassion and conviction. Through her vision, The DS&P Foundation, Inc. is building a lasting legacy of hope, opportunity, service, and empowerment for generations to come.

The Diamond Legacy Scholarship

For women ages 55+ and older pursuing continued education, professional certifications, entrepreneurship, personal advancement, or legacy-building opportunities.

 

The Sapphire Leadership Scholarship

For women ages 36–54 pursuing leadership development, professional growth, career advancement, or purpose-driven elevation.

The Pearl Rising Scholarship

For women ages 18–35 pursuing higher education, vocational training, business development, personal growth, or purpose-driven advancement.

The Radiant Futures Scholarship

For girls and young women ages 13–21 who demonstrate promise, character, leadership potential, and a commitment to community involvement.
